BIG WEEKEND OF RESULTS
INCLUDING A TOP OF THE TABLE CLASH IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP
Zoom
Match of the Day was without doubt the top of the table clash in the Championship between SWAG and Project Clapham. For the second time this season SWAG were left regretting a missed a penalty against Project, with Project claiming a 2-1 victory to take them thre points clear at the top.
The Pidgeons drew their second game in succession but still hold the third promotion spot, with a seven point lead over Ballivia who drew 1-1 with Barking, but do have a game in hand over our feathered friends. The Eagles from Walthamstow enjoyed an 8-1 win over To Madeira, with Ross Murray scoring a hat-trick.
In the Prem Chippy registered their fourth draw of the season against table-topping Hackney to pull themselves off the bottom of the table. Chippy were replaced by Livi who went down 3-2 to the Lyric in a blustery affair at Regents Park. Clapham Alex continued their resurgence up the table with a 6-1 win over Ladzio. Alex have now moved from bottom to fourth in the table and with six different players getting on the score sheet they are proving themselves to be a real threat.
Finally, the spirit of the CLSSL prevailed in Holland Park where the nine men of Sloane conceeded the points with a 3-0 walkover but enjoyed a friendly with Sloane to help run off the weekend's excesses.
Next weekend sees the Sunday Super Cup Quarter-Finals being played on Clapham Common, alongside two six pointers as Shepherd's Tuesday host Walthomstow Eagles, and the Lyric host Sloane to decide who will top the Premier League with eight games to go....
